When a web site is created, the files that make up the web site need to be placed on a computer called a "web server". The web server makes the website available on the Internet. The service of storing your files and making them accessible via the internet is called "hosting."

Domain Registration

Q. What is a domain name?

We will answer this question with an example: In our case, biyn-web-designer.com is our domain name, and our web site is located at www.biyn-web-designer.com. We can register a domain name which reflects your company name in a format of "companyname.com" and once your web site is online we can handle the subdomains and hostnames as well. When you see references to "DNS" it is referring to the management and administration of domains.

Q. How do I get my organization's name on the web?
